I forgot to post my under $20 finds last week so here we go

 
a big bowel of old seam binding and thread!!! and see the little flower frog on top score--all for $8 the bowl was even included not to bad. Can't wait to play

Sam's Club special

I love Sam's Club!!! If you have read my prev. post(s) you know my camera delemia. I have been wanting and saving for a new one however, everytime I get close to having the  $$$$ something goes wrong ie: my car wouldn't start,Jay's car wouldn't start,garage door broke,$700 for Jay's school books---you get the picture. Well----Friday night I meet my Mom at Sam's so we could do a little shopping for my uncle's funeral luncheon on Sat. and there it was the Cannon digi rebel what I have been DROOLING over for about 3 years I have been so close to getting it many times (even had it in my cart a few times) I wanted it soooo bad I picked it up,played with it, looked at it, read the whole box 2x and then walked away :( I told myself  NO I am here to get food for the luncheon NOT a camera for myself so off I went to fill the cart with boring old food. After about 2 hours of shopping I felt compelled to go say good bye to my old friend and as I turned the corner AH HA there it was the NIKON D3100 18-55VR kit I thought am I nuts it is $50 more than than the Cannon but it was so pretty and in the cart it went. YAHOOOOOOOOOO!!!! she is mine all mine she even got to ride in the front seat all the way home. I had to keep looking over at her just to make sure I really did it this time. I got to play a bit with her

look at that little cutie :) So today I am off to play with my new little friend. Now I will be able to post more pictures-better-pictures

UNDER $20

O.K.---since I am on a STRICK budget I have allowed myself only $20.00 to play with every 2 weeks (payday). So of course I had to spend it within minutes of it hitting my pockets :) here is what I bought

don't you just love it!!!! 7 gypsies it is so sweet but I couldn't wait for it to come out you know me :) so I did this

 
a couple of coats of paint--black then green and then a final top coat of red and lots of sanding.

 
I still have to fill it yet and maybe tweek it alittle but for $2 hey I am in love!! I thought I'd put my truth cards from the Soul Restoration class I'm taking over at the Brave Girls. I might end up taking off the drawer pull and putting on a little vintage glass knob I found ???? Any way living on a budget sucks when CHA is around the corner and all these goodies are coming out :( The glass cake stand and letter are from Marshall's $14 not bad when I almost bought a smaller cake stand at Hobby Lobby for $16 and you know I can never pass up a letter K. (The drawer was at Hobby Lobby for 2.99). I am off today so I'll be busy cleaning and have to run Jay to pick up a few books at the college bookstore ( the reason I'm on a budget) then hopefully a chance to stalk a few blogs to see if anyone has pictures of their CHA booths up yet!!!! The one I'm most excited about is the 7 gypsies Paula and Deb rock and of course my girl KL has a few goodies to show off--can't wait--- o.k. my dears off to clean

HELLO TWENTY-ELEVEN !!!!!

I GOT A FEELING WOHO!!!-(luv that song) I have been busy around here getting ready for this-- www.bravegirlsclub.com  Soul Restoration!!!!!!! I tried 100's of times (really) to win a spot in this class and guess what ???? Christmas Eve morning I woke up to an email from Kathy saying yes-- you guessed it-- I was picked yah hoey. I am so excited you can't even imagine. I have had a rough last few months of 2010 (not ready to share yet) and some days I didn't think I would make it. I read about the class and thought I need this so bad but the funds like always are alittle short so you can imagine how happy I was to get that e-mail just that little e-mail gave me hope again silly I know but true. Reading through a few a Mel's post I came across this one titled " I will fly again" man it was like she read my mind!!! I love that saying so much I just had to do something with it.

 
this is my first attempt working with canvas so to speak it's not the best but I LUV IT. I have it sitting on my desk so I can look at it while I "create" It means so much to me I think about that post of Mel's I read and it really gives me hope(and tears). If you have a chance to join Brave Girls you really should. I took a picture of all my supplies before and I will post some after pictures when I'm done. Here is a little sneak peak

 
I made that little bag on the right hand side to hold my daily truths. The kit came with a canvas one and I couldn't find one like it so I just sewed up some scaps. I think it needs a flower or something on it?? O.K. the dayz a waisting got to get move'n more to share later.---- HAPPY 2011

MO JO'S ROLLING

I know it has been a long time but I'm back!! With Jay away at school you'd think I'd have more time on  my hands to play ??? Just trying to get use to things and get the house ready for Christmas. I dreeded hauling that big old tree and 7 bins of decorations up from the basement--lazy--maybe so I just went out and bought a cute little pre-lite from Wally world for $40 and I love it. (pictures to follow).Most of the decor is silver and white and I have a new found love of those cute little bottle brush trees. Anyway enough of that---I have been back in my studio working a bit it is so hard to get your mojo flowing when you pretty much out grown your space!! every place I look there is stuff. I love my stuff but sometime I have to say to myself WHAT WERE YOU THINKING ?? Next year I am gonna be a good girl and hold back a little on buying till I use up some of the goodies I already have.You people make it so hard on me by that I mean Heidi, Rhonna, and Janet. How do do come up with all these good little ideas??? I have been hooked on the House of 3 web shows and I just want to make everything. But first I must finish the numerous projects I have going on!! o.k. I know you are thinking what's a post without pictures so I'll leave you with a LO I made using some left over Kenner Road kits ( oh how I miss kl !!!)
